I'm seeing the same thing with my 4800x ruko ultra, was hoping to see a solution at the end of the thread.
I have an older roku ultra model that I swapped onto this same setup and it can still control the volume with the remote. It has the latest 11.5 sw as well.
Issue seems to be related to the 4800x model.
Hope they resolve it soon.
