Having issues with no sound from the NFHS Network App. The Roku menu sounds are normal, and so are other streaming apps when I tried those. I know it wasn't the high school football stream I was trying to view because they played with sound on both my laptop and my phone. However, when I tried streaming through the Roku app all I had was the video, no sound. Tried removing the app and reinstalling but that didn't help. Also tried the Roku on 3 different TV's but all had the same problem. Anyone else have this issue?
I've never used that channel/app, but I suppose it's possible they're using an audio format that isn't supported by Roku.
When problems are confined to a particular channel, it may be that the channel didn't install properly, that it didn't update correctly, or that the installation has otherwise gotten corrupted. A reinstall may fix the problem, so give it a try. Remove/reinstall procedure:
I just installed the NFHS app and am having the same issue... no sound. Reinstalled the app as per the instructions of the other reply and still no sound.
Hi @Smmpappas,
Thanks for the post.
Have you restart your Roku device after removing the channel and before adding the channel back? If yes, this is a good indication that there is likely an issue within that specific channel that will need to be addressed with an update from the channel publisher. Channels on Roku are created and maintained by each channel publisher. In this case, you'll want to reach out to that channel publisher directly to share your feedback.
Thanks,
Mary
I followed these instructions and still no sound. Can you verify if Roku supports the NFHS Network app sound format?
Thanks for the post.
As @MaryFranco previously stated, for more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
Thanks,
Danny
