My Roku Buzzling/Static Noise

I've had my Roku for about a year and it's always been fine. Tonight whilst I was watching something it suddenly started making the loudest buzzing/static noise and the screen went all green and stripey. I tried to turn the TV off but it wouldn't turn off, even when i was using the TV remote. The only way I could turn it off was to switch the whole thing off at the wall. It's happened twice more since and it scares the **bleep** out of me every time. It's so loud! Anyone know what's going on?

    Is this a Roku TV or a Roku device connected to a TV?  Either way, it sounds like a major problem with the TV.

      It's a roku device attached to my TV. It's always been fine up until now.

    Hi HLK,

    Thanks for reaching out. Is this device directly powered by the TV USB port or by a wall outlet? Could you also tell us if this issue happens while accessing a channel or if it happens after a long period of streaming? Have you tried moving it to a different TV and see if there are any differences?

    My tv just started doing the same , did yours stop and if it advice on how to fix mine ??
