Did you mean:

Last night I got a message that said hot plug.

My Roku is not working. Last night, it said hot plug, the device was a little warm but not hot at all. I unplugged it. This morning I plugged it in. Totally cool, and it won't turn on. Says hot plug. Did it fry the plug.

Do you have a Vizio TV?  Vizio TVs come up often when I search for “hot plug”.

I believe it means "hot plug" like "hot swap".  It's not a temperature thing, but rather plugging something in to a system that is already up and running.

Banned but back. Because why not?
