I bought a Roku router and nothing is playing

Jump to solution

today I bought a Roku express I connected it and when I logged into my Netflix and my HBO Max and I tried to play a movie. All I got was a black screen on both websites. Anybody know how I can fix that the Wi-Fi is working perfectly and the device is connected to everything it needs to be connected to, so I don’t know what to do. I’m thinking about taking it back now, but I don’t know. Maybe y’all have some ideas

Here is a quick fix you might try:

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.
