Hulu channel jumping to next episode while watching "Drain the Oceans"

I have had a problem lately where I will be watching an episode but when it gets down to the last 7 minutes, it jumps to the next episode. I then have to go back to the episode and fast forward to watch the final 7 minutes. This happened today on the Hulu channel while watching "Drain the Oceans" and has happened more than once. Any ideas on how to make this stop? If you have any information, please email me. Thank you.

  • Same thing just started happening to me yesterday while watching Walker, Texas Ranger. It's always within the final 7 minutes of an episode and it just randomly jumps to the next episode. Only happens with Hulu.

Welcome to the Roku Community, Sharaia!

Thanks for reaching out. We'd like to suggest some steps to help you get back on streaming the Hulu app on your Roku.

Before we proceed, can you please confirm if this is the only app affected by this? Also, are Live channels and on-demand shows affected?

In the meantime, kindly follow the steps precisely below to help you troubleshoot:

        1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
        2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
        3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel
