Deleted Shows Not Going Into Trash

I have a 3931 RW - Roku Express+ // software v 14.0

I will watch a recorded show on SlingTV, then delete it. It used to go instantly into my trash where I can restore it, but lately very few shows appear in trash. Today, NOTHING appears in trash once deleted. Trash is completely empty with a prompt saying "You Have No Recently Deleted Recordings". Nothing shows up for me to restore.

My Roku has been acting funny in a few other areas, too. While watching a recording (or a live show) on any App, the playback often starts "stuttering" so I have to rewind or fast-forward a little to get it to play smoothly again. Playback is freezing up more often lately, too.

Also, some SlingTV shows will automatically go all the way back to the beginning when I try to rewind just a few seconds in the middle of the recording.

Also, I can usually fast-forward through commercials on my SlingTV shows, but every now and again I get kicked out of the recording while fast-forwarding through commercials in the last half of the show even though I have been successfully fast-forwarding through commercials in the first half of the show.

I'm wondering if my Roku is just needing to be replaced. I would guess it might be just a SlingTV issue were it not for the fact that playback stutters occur with various Apps and when things freeze up it helps if I restart Roku.

Re: Deleted Shows Not Going Into Trash

The DVR issue with deleting shows is almost certainly a Sling TV issue. Roku has no DVR abilities on it's own.

The basic Express/Express+ is very limited. If you do want to replace it, depending on what deals you would find, I think the Express 4K+ is the best entry-level. It has tons of storage, and decent speed. My 4K+ seems nearly as fast as my Ultra (two different TV's.)
