I have to find my device's ip address. Where do I find it?

From the Roku Home Screen, navigate to Settings/System/About or Settings/Network/About.

Network-connected devices like Rokus have no IP addresses until they are connected to a network.  IP addresses are assigned by the net's router when it connects each device to the network.
