my PARAMOUNT+ wont connect to firestick

I joined paramount+ via my roku account.  I am trying to get the paramount on my Firestick TV and it won't allow access to it.  Is it because I signed up via Roku?  Should I cancel my free trial and join thru paramount+ app instead?

If you want to view a paid subscription on multiple platforms, sign up directly with the service on its website.
