connecting with Roku online

Hi there.  It's been quite a while, and two moves since I have tried to use my RoKU.  So my question is it seems my email & password have been eliminated, or my account closed due to non use.  How do I sign in now considering the above information?  Thanks

  • I don't think Roku accounts ever get eliminated.  I just signed into an account that hasn't been used in probably 10 years or more.  Assuming your Roku device still works and hasn't been factory reset, the email address attached to its Roku account can be found under Settings->System->About.  Use that to sign in at https://my.roku.com and if you forgot the password there's a "Forgot password" option.

If you have factory reset it, you can always create a new Roku account.  What exactly do you think you might need from the old account?  The only significant things I can think of are past purchases and subscriptions.  Installed apps are also attached to the Roku account, but most can just be reinstalled.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.  I actually did get back in to the "old" account when I checked by records & found that I had changed it from the old password.
