I'd like to know if ROKU works in Africa. Not concerned about available channels, but functions, internationally. If so, which African countries can ROKU work in?

Roku is officially supported here:

• United States
• Canada
• France
• United Kingdom
• Germany
• Argentina
• Brazil
• Chile
• Colombia
• Costa Rica
• El Salvador
• Guatemala
• Honduras
• Mexico
• Nicaragua
• Panama
• Peru

That's it. Apps outside those counties may or may not work, depending on if the developer decides to support a Roku app in a country where Roku itself isn't supported. Most don't, though a few do.

Channel availability/access on Roku devices will vary from region to region. A Roku device will work in any location, however, channels may not be available on your device in that location, based on each channel provider's discretion. For more information, you'd want to contact any specific channel/service provider to inquire further about whether they offer their channel/service on the Roku platform in your region.

Is Roku available anywhere in the Caribbean?

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Currently, Roku players are not officially marketed or sold to that country, but your Roku player should work fine in any country. Although some channels and content may work there, others will have geo-restrictions that prevent them from working, but you can count on Netflix and YouTube working just about anywhere. Also, keep in mind that the Roku Mobile app is not available now in your region.

1. Are you using a Roku TV or a Roku device?
2. Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or all channels on your Roku device?
3. Are you receiving error messages or codes when accessing the channel?
4. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to resolve the issue?
5. How are you powering the device? Is it plugged into the TV USB port, or is it plugged into the wall outlet with the provided cables?

Thanks for the quick response!

I am no longer in the Caymans - but from what I remember:

1. Roku Device
2. Could not log in at all and get any channels
3. Powering with wall plug in adaptor and cables
4. Kept getting error messages about the wifi etc

Sorry I cant remember more about the issues.  I think I could log into Roku but never got any further - kept coming up with errors.
