Roku Streaming Stick+ 4K won't stop rebooting (No SD card)

I searched for answers in this forum and found no resolutions to my issue: I went on vacation for four weeks and left all of my devices unplugged. Upon my return, my Roku is perpetually in the reset menu (where all four letters dance), TV goes black, and the letters return for yet another jig. Is it possible to force an update on the Roku by connecting the stick to my computer? NOTE: no SD card is connected to the stick or anything of the sort. No external/non-Roku power source connected. A year ago when the stick was starting to overheat, I requested an extender from Roku and they sent it. Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

There's no way to update a stick (or any other non-RokuTV device) via a computer.  Find the reset button and with the power connected press and hold it for no less than 30 seconds.
