My Roku express HD is on the dancing Roku screen no matter what I do. I have soft reset (using remote button sequence) and hard reset (pushing the reset button down for 30 seconds), unplugged for 30+ minutes, restarted WiFi, and the dancing screen is all I have.
That would have been the simple fix, but since you're already using the supplied power adapter you might want to try another one if you have one from another device or even try the TV's USB port if it has one. Try the 30 second reset again - make sure the power is connected and you're holding the button in for no less than 30 seconds. Use a stopwatch if you have to. If it still fails I don't know what else to suggest except for a warranty return if it's less than a year old.
