Trying to make sure I understand what you've told us.
It will recognize [password] when I go to account. Is this saying you can go to your Roku account and successfully log in using your Roku password?
Roku will not recognize my password for setting up new streaming stick trying to set up to Sony tv. What part of the setup process is this? If it is when setting up a wifi connection, are you entering the password for your wifi network, not your Roku password?
