How do you get both the headphones and speakers to play at the same time?

I have a set oh headphones that use the headphone jack.  I have these for my hard of hearing husband.  If we turn the tv up to wear he can hear it its to loud.

On this new thing it will let me use the headphone or the speakers not both.

How do I enable both?

Thank you

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but it used to be possible but not anymore.  It's something many people have asked for over the years, but only Roku knows why they seemingly refuse to enable it.

@renojim- That's the way I recall it also.  As to whether Roku is refusing to implement or if underlying code changes make this impossible, I can't say.  My guess is, with all the major problems that get reported here all the time, this request is not assigned a very high priority.
