Headphones and speakers should be able to work at the same time

It seems to me that a simple software tweak would allow speakers and headphones to be active at the same time.  I am hearing impaired and my spouse is not.  So too loud for her and not loud enough for me.  A fix would be a great selling point.  Same problem with thr ROKU remote.   We learned in kindergarten to share.  Can you guys learn to share as well?

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community, Kenole8!

In the meantime, we recommend using the Headphones mode on your Roku Mobile App, which can connect up to four devices simultaneously as a temporary workaround.

      Kenole8-

Same situation in our household.  Option is requested frequently, but never implemented.

Thinking about it  though, I suspect there may be no way to control the two volumes separately on systems that were not designed with this in mind..

      Edited to add...

The suggestion of using the remote listening capability of The Roku remote app does not solve your problem as this also silences the TV speaker.
