Freezes after connecting to WIFI

I’m trying to set up my Roku Streaming stick. Remote works perfectly in the beginning but right after I connect to the wifi, my screen freezes. Remote control wont work anymore as the screen is frozen. Tried this on 2 tvs but same result. 

tried resetting it too to no avail.

What is wrong?

Will you please try to connect the device to another network to see if the freezing will persist?

Roku is currently not supported in your region. Please note that even if you successfully activate your Roku device, some features may not be available to access.

Let us know what you find out.

We completely understand how frustrating this can be for you, and we want to help you get this sorted out so you can start streaming now.

To assist us in the investigation, could you tell us more about...

  • When did you first notice this issue? 
  • Have you tried the device on a different port on the TV?
  • Is this your first time setting up your device? 
  • Can you send us a photo of the exact behavior of the issue?

In the meantime, can you try connecting your Roku Stick to a different Wi-fi to see if the issue persists?

Hi, 

 

I noticed the issue immediately upon setting up. 

I already tried different ports. Same result. 

Yes, this is my first time to set up the device and I never got it to work. 

Did not get to try with another wifi connection. 

My location is in the Philippines if that information is useful.
