I have a brand new Philips Roku Tv. Initial start it up a screen says Can't connect Error 003, try again or exit. I have tried again nothing. Exit just takes takes me to a screen that says roku tv. The other roku tvs I have are connecting no problem. I have rebooted the router nothing. The only thing I can really do is a reset of the TV via the button in the back which I have done. This is a Philips 42PFL6574/f7 model. Note: I have never even got to the connect to my internet phase. This is immediate on startup. Thinking this is a bad unit but want to confirm before I go through boxing and sending back.
When you first plug it in you should see a "Let's get started" screen or "Choose your language". You don't see that?
Try pressing and holding the reset button for 30 seconds with the power connected.
Tried that, got to the software update and got error 003 after connecting to the internet. Did get a message saying connected. Tried to do a usb update but its saying my hardware ID is wrong. This is flat out stupid what they are doing with these TV's. I have to just throw this out and buy a new one now. Thank you ROKU for messing up everything.
Hey, @moffobr.
We're sorry you're experiencing an issue activating your Roku, and we'd like to figure this out!
Have you tried using a different internet connection, such as a Mobile Hotspot, to see if you can proceed with the activation process?
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks,
