major issues with the iOS app not recognizing my Roku Ultra

I am having major issues with my iOS app being able to recognize my Roku Ultra.  I have done everything I know of and it just won't work.  I have deleted the iOS app multiple times, unlinked my device and restarted a bunch and it just won't recognize it.  Any help?  One thing I thought of is I have the latest iOS version of the app but my Roku does not have the new OS yet, its still on 10.0. Is this maybe the reason or should that have nothing to do with my issues?  I really need to figure this out.  I have done everything I can think of.

Are you using the same wireless network on your mobile device as your Roku device?
