iPhone app and Android tablet app not connecting to Roku Ultra

Yes, I know that similar post are here but what I have found still does not work.  My iPhone and tablet does not connect to the Roku.  I tried to connect to it manually but the app says it is not found.

Here is what I got:

  1. iPhone running the latest all on IOS 15.2.1
  2. Samsung Galaxy Tablet A7 Lite
  3. NighthawkNighthawk X6 R8000 running the latest firmware
  4. Roku Ultra  /  Connected Wireless

The IP of the devices is 192.168.15X

I have rebooted everything as suggested in other articles but the results are the same.

This should not be this hard.  What am I missing??

  • Here I am again working on the same issue, because this issue has never been resolved.

here is what is new / or I have noticed since the last post.

    1) I have added another Roku and I cannot connect to it with the mobile app and I cannot ping it either from the CMD prompt.

    2) the mobile app does not see it on the network (192.168.1.X) and I cannot connect to it manually.

    3) on my Roku account page both devices are "linked".

    4)  again I have deleted the app, rebooted everything.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? THIS CAN'T AND SHOULD NOT BE THIS HARD!!!

playmarkete?  Not familiar with playmarkete.  You mean Play store?

      Another thing I found out.

Even though the Roku device shows up on my router, i am unable to ping the IP.
