Have you gone to your phone app settings and given the Roku app camera and microphone permissions? Then open the Roku remote app and play a YouTube video, hit the asterisk on the remote app screen and then scroll down to adjust audio delay? That seems to be the fix.

Thank you. We have gotten this corrected and it’s working just fine.

Hi Doggpound007,
Greetings from the Roku Community! We'd like to be of assistance with this issue when using headphones.
Could you tell us when you started seeing the issue occur? Have you tried any troubleshooting, and what didn't work?
Please keep us posted!
Thanks,
Rey

The issue happens when using a bt headphone or a wired headphone.
It has happened from day one of using this 4k stick.

I'm experiencing this too. I've restarted my TV multiple times, un-installed and reinstalled the app, checked my internet, everything and I'm STILL experiencing this. It just suddenly started happening too, private listening is pretty much unusable now.

Yes, I'm still having the same issue. And no help from Roku on this defect.
It absolutely sucks you have to connect headphones to this stupid roku app rather than directly to the TV!

I have four Roku TVs and every time I try to use the private listening on the Roku remote app I get this broken audio problem. It is a real problem the ROKU team needs to solve. Been happening way too long. Does not matter what external speakers or headsets I use. It is definitely a Roku app or device problem. I find it strange their technical team cannot duplicate the problem and come up with a fix unless they are just ignoring it. I know I will not purchase any Roku devises in the future until this problem has been resolved. Roku team does not even bother to respond to the problem anymore. Maybe time to take the audio problems to more public venues.
