Re: Need testers for Chaneru 2.0 with DLNA

Updated Chaneru App and server to 2.0.4
Fix for clicking a folder before it was loaded and crashing the app.

New feature for the Chaneru server:
You can have alias files with a trailing “x” that are text files and have the absolute path to the real media item. Types should be valid media file types with an appended “x”, so they display correctly on the folder content list. Movie type’x’ should point to a movie. It could be .movx and really points to a mp4 or avi file. The purpose of this is to allow multiple links to the same file from different folder categories without duplicating the media. A movie may have multiple genres, so now you could have a folder for each genre type with links to the real video.

Re: Need testers for Chaneru 2.0 with DLNA

Uploaded version 2.0.5 of the channel app. Minor fixes, here and there.
Problems with USB and supporting files. I was encoding the file links.
OK now, BUT Roku doesn't like BIF files coming from the drive ??? They work as non USB ???

Here is a profile for Serviio - http://www.chaneru.com/DLNA/Serviio%20Profile.txt
It adds detection for roku and chaneru but it doesn't do any transcoding for videos.
I think it will convert all audio files to mp3.

Go to http://www.chaneru.com/DLNA/ for the latest.
