Yes I too have this problem. Gets super loud for no reason or gets super quiet for no reason on its own. Thanks for the suggestion to just rewind a little I’ll try that instead of backing out the whole app. Other than that if not fixed peoples speakers are gonna start getting blown out.

Hi Heartwood,
A warm welcome to the Roku Community!
We'd like to know more about how we can help. For us to help you better, we will ask a set of questions to isolate the issue; Keep us posted on what you find out.
- When did you start seeing this issue occur?
- Were you previously able to control your TV volume and power?
- Have you tried to re-pair the remote and restart the Roku device?
- What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?
Once we have this information, we will be able to investigate further.
All the best,
Chel

What is the solution to this problem? We have a 4K ultra and the volume reduces for some content as well.
Plus, the ads on the Roku Channel are 2-3 times LOUDER than the movie sound, consistently. Even tried leveling the sound and your ads are easily twice the volume level of the movie. Tried watching Sully yesterday and this morning, both times YOUR ADS WERE MUCH LOUDER THAN THE SHOW.

I haven’t been provided a solution yet. This forum is non Roku employees who can’t help other then telling me I’ve got food in my remote causing it to increase and decrease the volume. Or did I reboot l, restart, stand on my head. They even tried asking me for personal info. All hogwash.

Do you work for Roku? I noticed this months ago and saw the fix in this forum. Since I have the latest version you ought to be aware it’s not resolved. Yes I’ve re-paired the remote (many times I can’t count). I have always been able to control the device with the remote. I have 2 Roku devices that are used more than the others and this issue occurs on both Rokus every few days. I’ve restored the device and everything else has already been done according to the resolution posted on this forum.

Hi Heartwood,
Thank you for keeping us posted here in the Roku Community!
We know how important it is to have a functional Roku remote for controlling your Roku devices. No worries; help is here. Please try to check if there is a stuck button that you're seeing on your Roku remote.
We'll wait for your response.
Thanks,
John

I am having major volume issues, it will max out on its own or go so low its seems mute. On many occasions it would actually get so loud it sound like my speakers blew out, I had no issues till just about almost six months to a year now, it's so aggravating, also resume is not functioning properly either, when the volume messes up I back out of it then go to resume and it starts at the beginning of the movie again.

I have this same issue on all my Rokus. I don’t have a fix but the best way I’ve found to deal with it is to just rewind a second or two and then play and the sound returns to normal. Not ideal but less disruptive than exiting or restarting. I’d love for Roku to fix this problem.
