The LG Magic Remote stop working on the update from Roku on 1/8/2025 and was able to fix it the first time with Roku stick go to settings/system/ advanced system settings/ controlled by mobile apps network set to permissive and then power off and on the Roku to change the setting and then it will work again, but not anymore.
On 2/10/2025 the LG Magic remote stopped working again it is unclear why, LG Support is no help at all, LG support tells you 10 things to do, but nothing to do with the "test settings" not working on the Universal Control for Roku no longer working. The Roku remote still works with Roku and the LG TV, the LG remote works with the TV but not Roku streaming stick. It is unclear if Roku stop supporting control via HDMI-CEC which is turn on the LG TV. On my LG OLED C1 55 inch the Universal setting no longer control the Roku streaming stick, as it has for 3 years, Roku support says it never work but it did work. LG Support just ignores this issue even though LG updated the TV on 2/11/2025. I think LG TV knows what the issues is but refuses to fix it. With neither Roku or LG supporting the Roku streaming stick it is two remote until one of them helps! lol. no customer support.
