Remotes

The volume control button only works for volume down, the volume UP does not work.  I have followed the steps in settings, testing both the sound and system software update.  Volume UP still does not work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Remote buttons do stop working over time and use, they lose their conductivity. Even on $500 universal remotes, so $20 remote won't last forever. Replace it the new remotes have a mute key.

Go into setting>>remotes and devices>>remote>>set up remote for tv control.

Thank you.  Yes, a new remote is an option.  I just thought I would reach out just in case someone had a solution.

If you can, remove the batteries and try and take the cover off, the contacts for the Volume might need a cleaning, i usually use Rubbing Alcohol, just make sure it's dry before trying it with batteries.

Those volume buttons are about the tiniest switches I've ever seen and are easily broken when taking the cover off (or even without trying to take the cover off).
