Replacement remote (regular Voice) won't control TV volume on Ultra 4660X

My daughter broke the original Gaming Remote on my Ultra 4660X. I bought a Voice Remote to replace it and keep the volume controls. However, the volume controls do not work on the Voice Remote. I've tried set-ups and restarts and TV codes to no avail.

Can anyone tell me why my replacement Voice Remote won't control the TV volume when the original Gaming Remote will?

Your original gaming remote controlled the tv volume by hdmi-cec. Where your new voice remote now has tv IR on board and controls the tv volume by IR. If you find the right brand and code that works you model of tv. What is your tv brand?

The power and volume buttons on wifi-direct Roku remotes send the appropriate signals to your TV via line of sight infrared (IR) signals. Different tvs have different sets of IR codes they accept, so you have to set up the remote to send the signals for YOUR tv.

        Roku menu path:
Settings -> Remotes & devices > Remotes > Remote (In use) > Set up remote for TV control
        ... then follow the prompts.
