Problem solved, returned for new device.Roku streaming stick 4k remote will not pair

Trying to pair the remote to streaming stick. Have reset numerous times, removed batteries, held home and back button, tried 3 different tvs. Does not have the pair button under the battery door. At this for almost an hour now and now success. Is there another step or trick?

Do you have the original usb cable with bump in the middle? That is what the remote pairs to, not the Stick itself. Without the long-range wireless receiver no remote.

    Hi, Stephen_M

Greetings, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We understand that your Roku Voice Remote will not pair with your Roku Streaming Stick 4K, and we're here to help.

Your voice remote and streaming device must be in pairing mode at the same time to complete the pairing process.

Follow the steps below to properly pair your Roku voice remote to your device.

    1. Remove the power cord from your streaming device
    2. Wait at least 5 seconds
    3. Re-connect the power cord

Once you see the Home screen, follow the steps in the next section to put your voice remote into pairing mode and complete the pairing process with your streaming device.

    1. Press and hold the Back and Home buttons for 5 seconds or until you see the status light begin to flash.

For more information, you can visit this support article on How to fix your Roku voice remote that is not working

We hope this works, and let us know what you find out. We're here to help.

    Thanks,
    The Roku Community Team.

Yeah I've already done all that multiple times. I own various other roku devices so I'm savy to the process. It still does not pair nor work.

Stephen_M Since you have other Roku devices I would try to pair the remote to another device.  If that works that would eliminate the remote as the problem.  You could also try pairing a different remote to the new stick to determine if the stick is the source of the problem.
