Pairing v1 Voice Remote Pro with 2024 Ultra

If I were to pair my v1 Voice Remote Pro with the Ultra 2024, would I be able to use the headphone jack in the remote?

I understand that I can use Bluetooth headphones with the 2024 via the app but I do not want yet another device I have to keep charged, and I have read that the app does not work on public WiFi, like in a hotel.

The headphone jack in the remote was the main reason I chose Roku.

    Yes, the v1 Roku Pro remote with headphone jack would work on the newer 2024 Ultra.

      Thank you for the quick reply.  But to be specific, will the headphone jack work in that configuration?

        Yes, I mean the headphone jack on the old remote will work with newer Ultra, not just controlling it.
