Earbuds quit working on Roku Pro remote after update?

My earbuds have been working fine with a new remote for my Roku Pro until a few days ago. I’m wondering if this is due to an update as I’ve noticed the TV station info now appears at the top of the screen instead of the bottom where it was before. Please fix this as the private listening option was the main reason I purchased this unit!

Verify your remote is still paired by going to Settings->Remotes.  I believe these remotes can control a Roku device via IR (which doesn't require pairing and won't get private listening) or RF (which does).  Even if it shows up, try pairing it again.  Go to Settings->Remotes->Set up a new device and follow the instructions.  Make sure you have fresh batteries in the remote and stand close to your Roku during the pairing process.

Remote is paired and it’s rechargeable so it doesn’t have regular batteries. It was working fine until about a week ago. When earbuds are plugged in, the sound mutes on the tv speakers and the “headset“ icon comes up on the screen but it has a line through it. Within a few seconds, the sound comes back through the tv speakers. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
