Hi @RokuEmmanuel-D,
I don't know who decided to accept this as a solution, but it is not.
I've done this countless times, from the day this began until one minute ago. IT DOES NOT WORK.
No difference at all. Give us the ability to rollback the OS.
I finally bit the bullet and did what I did not want to do... I factory reset my Roku Streambar. IT WORKED!
Everything is working properly now, including YouTube. When I first tried to play a YouTube video, the screen went black like before, and I thought that it was all for nothing. But after about two seconds, the video loaded, and I am watching YouTube right now as I type, without any issues. (So far! lol)
I'm going to mark this as the acceptable solution, at least for now. I encourage others to try factory resetting your Roku devices and starting over. Yes, I had to redo all of my settings and sign-ins, but it worked.
If this doesn't work for anyone, then perhaps we'll remove this as an acceptable solution, and start at square one again.
I wish you all luck! Happy Thanksgiving!
Brave! Congrats and I'll give it a go and see what happens. So appreciate you trying that and sharing the results ,, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all who choose to celebrate!
Unfortunately for us, after a factory reset, roku did an immediate software update. To exactly the same 14.0.4
Any idea how to stop the update?
