[SOLVED] Paramount+ Audio Issues (5.1 & Dolby Atmos)

Hey everyone,

We know some of you were having trouble getting 5.1 or Dolby Atmos to work with Paramount+.

Update 1/24: We believe the issue has been resolved!

  • I recently got the 2024 Roku Ultra, but when I watch content on Paramount+, it only outputs stereo PCM. No 5.1 or Atmos. I can’t find a way to change this. Any solutions?

      I got the same problem too. It was fine until yesterday. You found a solution yet?

      Are either of you using any of the Volume Modes (Leveling or Night)?

        This is a server-side provisioning change/error impacting P+ on all RokuOS devices that precludes DD+ (Dolby Digital Plus) audio playback (5.1/Atmos; EAC3/EAC3_JOC) - DD (Dolby Digital) still works for limited content.

        P+ CS has been made aware of the issue, however, more case reports = increased priority esclation & fixing.

        Contact P+ CS and report the issue.

    • Your Roku device info: (Model, DID, OS build - found in Settings > System > About)
    • Your Tracker ID: (Press Home 5 times, then Back 5 times)
    • The Paramount+ app version

      Same problem here. P+ only outputs Stereo despite that show is 5.1 or Atmos. Other apps like Max and netflix do not have this problem. I am using the optical output of my TV, my settings are correct.

      Your Roku device info:
      Model: TCL 66R655
      DID: SOGV527TO3WE
      OS build:  14.1.4 build 7709

      Your Tracker ID: (Press Home 5 times, then Back 5 times)
      n/a; does not work on my TV; key sequence switches off TV

        Don't know how but my Atmos is working again! Hopefully it stays working with no more issues.
