The manual selection did work on my Google TV platforms so P+ dolby atmos is working for me on everything but Roku.
It's strange that it was always automatic for me until the same time it quit working on roku.
Either way, at least I have a way to make it work without buying another device.
Hopefully roku can come up with a fix as I like their platform better.
I remember back when it was CBS All Access, it would default to stereo. You would use the asterisk "*" key to select the audio track. From another forum, they seemed to imply this is more of an issue with P+'s servers being misconfigured for Roku devices.
I also tried contacting Paramount plus, they said it was a Roku issue. My Xbox does the same thing. All my other apps work. Maybe it is a Paramount plus problem as it happens on my Xbox too.
I also downgraded to a basic plan on paramount plus when the problem occured, which doesn't have Atmos, but I added showtime that same day which made my plan to be premium. I think that's what's causing the issue. I canceled my paramount account and plan to resubscribe next month choosing the premium plan.
I have the premium plan and I still don't get suround sound. I also don't remember to ever get Dolby Atmos for Top Gun Maverick, for any streaming devices (Rogu, Fire TV, LG TV).
I think everyone with the premium plan is getting the basic plan with stereo.
I don't know about that. The basic plan doesn't include HDR. I get HDR for sure.
If you have more HDMI ports, can you just plug the latest FireTV stick to one of them and keep both?
I'm having the exact same issue. Called P+ CServ and was told it was a Roku OS issue. Got nowhere. Very aggravating. Please let me know if there is a fix coming or how to fix it. Thank you....
Same here it was playing fine like a week ago
