Hey Roku executive. I'm sorry your entitled pricks feel you deserve more from your clients. But no, I'm going to take all my Rokus and dump them in the garbage.
What other **bleep** are you going to shove down our throats moving forward? I don't know and I won't care because I'm out.
F you for bricking my device if I don't agree to your garbage privacy invading no fault, I pay your ass for arbitration B.S.
And I just bought one of your TV's. Nice thank you for being a customer... and swift kick in the balls.

This in itself is a class action. Because now I can no longer use any of my streaming devices or this new roku tv. I also pay for prime, paramount. Netflix and hulu, but cannot watch any of this on these devices. I called and asked for a refund, they tried to brush it off.

You should absolutely get a refund for services you paid for but are being blocked from receiving. Roku is getting a cut of these channels subscription revenue based on providing their services to you under the Roku umbrella.
They could end up getting these big name third parties in a class action if they keep playing with people subscriptions like that. Not to mention the loss of all the ppl who will cancel all their subscriptions under them and go direct to the Channel and subscribe direct as I have done. - urban_crawler2 years agoStreaming Star
yes! more of this!

Sign me up for that class action. This is complete bs. No i do not accept!

They told me over the phone that it was no big deal tbh.

I have samsung smart tv's, nvidia shields, multiple phones, non of them have ever blocked me from using a device to enforce "a no big deal" TOS change.
If you can opt out, which you can, why not offer a button to do it right then and there? No, you have to snail mail a letter in. Passive aggressive avoidance.
Most people will just accept it, not knowing what they're getting themselves into.
This is shady as f***

I'm going to opt out for all my family members... but I'm sick and tired of tech companies treating people like this. Do you know how many people have **bleep** failing roku or roku branded devices that are just falling apart. They see a class action coming their way and they want to avoid any responsibilty for mistakes and ripping people off.
I'm taking my data and using the built in devices or my nvida shield. They all do the same **bleep**, no reason to stick with roku, I'm voting with my dollars and leaving.

I am FURIOUS!!!! We need a class action! Sue the scumbags before they force us all to agree never to.
In the meantime, I'm packing up all my Roku devices (6) and mailing them back to them: apparently I don't own them despite spending hundreds of dollars on them!!

For those interested, the street address for Roku is:
1173 Coleman Avenue
San Jose, CA 95110You should return their products to them since you never owned them.

Oh, and the word "att@@rney" is blocked on this community page. Apparently they're afraid of that word.

A very poor business decision on Roku's part. I can easily stop watching TV again, if Roku continues on this trajectory.
