ROKU keeps changing my Settings and Screen Saver

Jump to solution

It was bad enough when ROKU stopped showing a list of TITLES after a search ( I could read the titles) to ICONS that are hard to read and also consume processing time and slows down ROKU ( which  has gotten so SLOW). Also, what some people consider improvements ( to me) are NOT improvements. Now my screen saver is GONE from the list. Bring CITY STROLL back.

Every time ROKU makes a software update some of my Setting values Change and I have to change them back. Can't ROKU software keep the settings values the same ???

Also, I am tired of ROKU changing my WALLPAPER anytime some developer decides to change it.

I am very close to throwing my ROKUs in the TRASH.

This is meant as feedback.

However, on various occasions throughout the year, such as Valentine's Day or Halloween, Roku releases seasonal themes that only appear for a short period of time, e.g., 3 days. Your Roku device will automatically display a seasonal theme and automatically switch back after it expires.

Seasonal themes are enabled by default. You can disable them using the following instructions:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select Theme.
  4. Select seasonal themes.
  5. Select Off to disable seasonal themes (or select On to enable them).

Note: this option may be found on some devices under Settings > Wallpapers & Screensavers instead of Settings > Theme.

In addition to selecting a theme pack, you can further personalize your Roku device by:

Once again, thank you so much for your feedback; we value your input.
