Physical packaging feedback
I came back to Roku yesterday, after a year in the Google TV wilderness. I'm glad to be back with Roku's cleaner software, and better main channel app coverage (in the UK at least).
The bit I'm not impressed with is the sheer amount of packaging my Roku Express 4K (3940EU) came in - outer box of plastic and cardboard, inner plastic tray, inner cardboard box, each piece wrapped in a different plastic, then to cap it all off, two mains plugs, one for the EU and another for the UK (neither of which I need as I'm drawing power from a USB port).
The plastic wrappers aren't recyclable local to me, I need to store one plug I don't need, and dispose of the other. I can't see any of the packaging that couldn't be easily replaced by cardboard with a minor redesign, or any of the wrapping that was actually necessary in the first place. Apple and Google have been minimising their packaging for years now, it'd be great if Roku could catch up.
