Considering it's been over a year since the og post, I'm assuming you guys have not decided to move forward with this idea? I too would like to see a way to add sub-accounts, almost every other streaming service has this feature by default. I would like to be able to setup separate profiles for our roku so we can have our own save/watch lists. It's annoying to have to share an account without having the ability to discern who saved what to the watch/save list, and who is even interested in what was saved to the list. Just off the top of my head the services that offer sub accounts are, Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Paramount, Tubi, Pluto TV, even Apple TV allows for this and they really hate giving their own customers a choice in anything... So why are you guys dragging your feet at this point to give us something we want? You guys could seriously probably be the best in the streaming category but you lack so many fundamental features in your devices/software that it's embarrassing for your customers.
Welcome to the Roku Community, @John117Spartan!
Thanks for providing your feedback and insights about the Multiple Family sub-accounts. Unfortunately, you can only access one Roku account at a time. If you would like to access your Roku devices, including Roku Smart Home devices, you can always link everything to the same account.
We have added your post to our 'Suggest a feature' section of the Community to share your thoughts and suggestions.
Who knows, you may see your suggestion implemented in a future update. Check out our blog for the latest news and upcoming updates.
Thanks for your interest and we hope to expand with more features to provide our customers with the best streaming experience.
Kind regards,
John
Totally agree. Trying to setup for a child today in the family and this should be table stakes. Very disappointing to see it has been previously requested and nothing done.
