I just bought this tv and have been having issues with these white strobing/flickering lines that show up some times in darker content , have tried everything I have seen online to help resolve this, while certain things seem to help nothing so far has completely fixed the issue … starting to think I may just have a defective unit

That looks like a defective screen or control board.  I would return it if you are still within you return window or contact the manufacturer/brand for the TV for tech/warranty support.

Yeah that’s what I’m planning to do … hoping that the next one I get will work appropriately… thanks for confirming what I was suspecting all along
