USB requires more power message

The message “This USB device requires more power.” Only problem is I have no USB connected to my tv. There is nothing connected to my tv and I can’t make it go away. I have reset my tv multiple times. The message popped up when I plugged LED lights to the tv but I unplugged them as soon as I seen the message. Anyone know how I can remove the message? Pls and thank you!

    Monicaa17-

These things are just special purpose computers. Like their big brothers sometimes clearing things out by restarting them is all they need to straighten things out. (On a Roku TV with "Fast start" enabled, turning it off and back on just puts it into a standby state and back out; it does NOT give you a complete restart.)

Roku TVs can be restarted via Settings > System > Power > System restart, or you can pull the power plug for a few seconds then plugging it back in.

  • What are you talking about? Do you even own a Roku? If so which model?

Do you mean you own a Roku TV? Or a TV with a Roku device? If it’s a device which model? If it’s a TV which manufacture?

        Bonjour.

J'ai une tv tcl Roku intégré.  J'ai aucun appareil connecté à cette télé.

Message qui ne s'arrête pas à être affiché chaque 3 secondes.

Message : cette appareil nécessite une alimentation plus puissante...

        Merci.

  • I had the same problem when I was bought my series 5 tcl roku tv. It popped up, I was not using the usb port. I replaced the main board. The problem was fixed. Now I plugged in a powered my book drive.it worked for a month. Now the warning is back and I can't get it to go away.       This tells me that this is not a hardware issue.   Any suggestions other than using it as a boat anchor?

I also have a series 4. It works perfectly on this

      Hi mikewv100,

      Welcome to the Roku Community!

This might be a hardware-related problem. Have you attempted calling TV support to get more information yet? I'd advise beginning there to see what choices or recommendations they can make. Direct support is offered by each Roku TV maker for their models that run the Roku OS.

You can also check out this support article here on where to get support for your Roku TV.

If you need anything else, please let us know.
      Best regards,

      John
