We bought a house and just moved in. The previous owner left their TCL Roku tv. We bought a remote for it that said it worked on Amazon for this model tv. The remote works... Sometimes. Most of the time though, the remote isnt registering. Or the TV isn't sensitive enough, or it just freezes outright. . We are going nuts trying to make this TV work. Any tips, trick, hint, or advice?

We appreciate you reaching out regarding this matter and we would be more than happy to give you some tips.

Firstly, we must ensure you have successfully initiated a factory reset on your TCL Roku TV. This will set you back to default and clear all the existing data to make it your own. 

After doing so, create your own Roku account and link it to your TV. Furthermore, regarding the remote, kindly contact the manufacturer or look for Roku remotes under TCL because they have their own remote hardware.
