Roku streambar narration, can not turn off

can't turn off narration after pressing asterick 4 times

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand you want to turn off the screen reader on your Roku Streambar. We're happy to assist you further. Please try the steps below:

  1. Press the Home button on the Roku remote.
  2. Select Settings in the sidebar on the left.
  3. Select Accessibility.
  4. Select Screen Reader.
  5. Select Off.

Note: When the screen reader shortcut is enabled, you can quickly press * four times to turn the screen reader on or off from any screen. When the shortcut is disabled, pressing * on your remote four times does not turn on the screen reader.
