Roku Streambar does not stream H.264 video

I purchased the "Roku Streambar 4K/HD/HDR Streaming Media Player" part number 9102R. I do not understand why it is not capable of streaming H.264 video? When I read the specs very closely, I almost start to wonder if the h.264 support is limited to content loaded via the USB drive? Hoping someone could shed some light and happy to supply additional information as needed.

Do you have a link to the specifications?  You may just be looking at what file formats are supported via a connected USB drive which is really just what formats are supported, period.  Rest assured that anything that can be played off of a USB drive can be streamed.
