Roku Streambar Sound Quality Issues

My streambar has been having crackly, quiet audio. i’ve tried system restarting, doing a hard power reset of both the streambar and TV, checked for software updates, reconnected to the TV. I don’t know what to do.

    We're glad to hear that you were happy with the Roku Streambar until the issue appeared. No worries, we'll make sure to help you resolve this. Let's have a workaround, and do a restart by navigating to Settings > System > System Restart (skip if not available) System Restart. After this, kindly check if you're still experiencing the issue.

    I have the exact same issues, intermittently.  Sound starts fine, then drops very low or rises to very high. Sometimes gets all crackly. I have to reset the streambar daily, sometimes more than once a day. Tried the suggestions on this page, no help.

        I have been having the same issues for the past few months. I’ve checked all cords and have unplugged and plugged in the device multiple times but continue to have the same issue with crackling, very loud or very low sound and non-synced sound.

    Please reply here with the serial number of your Roku Streambar. This can be found in the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > About. We'll be able to further assist you from there.

      Hello, 

      I've been having similar issues with my Roku Soundbar- Crackling, out of sync audio, and/or extremely high or low audio. It happens randomly but sometimes a couple times within the hour. I checked all the inputs and they are fine. Please help resolve this issue.

    Has anyone had a fix to this issue???  All I see is check cables and we will have member if support team email

    I need a fix now. Does it exist?

    What kind of response is everyone getting from Roku on this issue? Are they replacing these stream bars or telling you it is out of warranty and to buy a new one? Ours is having a crackling sound which seems to be a commonly reported issue. If I have to buy a new sound bar, it will not be a Roku again with this seeming to be a highly reported issue.

    Sound quality is always hit or miss with my streambar. Kinda ridiculous since this thing is barely 2 years old. Serial #: YL003F074121

    Trying this forum first, then I’ll be calling customer service if this doesn’t get resolved.

        Literally every app on the roku streambar has the audio issues. So no, it is not just one app thats having issues. The streambar makes a popping noise, then the audio goes out. The audio screeches and then sounds very distorted. You name an audio issue and i guarantee we’ve had it happen with this.

    I use the Roku stick with a top of the line Sony sound bar and I have the same issues.  Sound gets really low or it gets really loud randomly.  It also will crackle like others have said.  I’m starting to think any Roku products is the problem.  We need an answer on how to fix this

    I have the same choppy and dropping audio on my StreAmbar, along with static video when audio drops out. Is there a real fix for this?

      Seems like the only fix is a new Streambar - but they will only replace it if you're within their 2y guarantee period, and we were 5 weeks out. 😠

      Is there anyone here who really understands the EU's rules on how long consumer electronics should be expected to last? How enforceable are they? 🤔

    My Roku streambar is doing the same thing. The sound will get really quiet for no reason, or it gets crackly and really loud. If I reset my system it will resolve, but I'm having to reset daily.
