Re: RCA Roku Tv wont allow sound thro soundbar

Hi @RecknBall,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We notice that you're attempting to link your Roku TV to your Philips soundbar, and we would be happy to help.

Could you let us know if you've previously put this up successfully? Have you attempted using several HDMI cables to see if that has an impact?

Help us find out more information about this so we can help you even better.

Regards,
Rey

Re: RCA Roku Tv wont allow sound thro soundbar

I have it set up, shows the sound bar logo for HDMI ARC port

In the audio section it shows the sound bar

but does not play sound thro the sound bar at all

I have not tried different HDMI cables as the one I am currently using is the best I have

Re: RCA Roku Tv wont allow sound thro soundbar

Hi @RecknBall,

Thanks for the response!

It's possible that the issue is with the HDMI cable or the HDMI ARC port on your TV. Try swapping out the HDMI cable with a new one to see if that resolves the issue. Additionally, check to make sure that the HDMI ARC port on your TV is set up correctly and enabled.

To help you troubleshoot the issue further, visit our support page: How to connect a surround sound system to your Roku TV

Keep us posted on how it goes.

All the best,
