Everytime I turn my Roku on, it automatically is downloading apps. Everytime its Spanish apps. Its extremely annoying because its doing it all on its own!!
Please fix it
All Roku devices using the same Roku account will download the same apps. You may want to go to your Roku account settings on the Roku website. Scrolling to the bottom, you can see all the devices linked to your account. Remove any that you don't recognize or are not active (thrown out, sold, in a closet.) You may also want to change your password.
Rokus don't normally turn on and off so it may be related to what you are doing that you consider: turning it on.
Here's something that trips up a lot of people:
They leave the default screen saver set. This is one (of several) that have advertisements. Many of these advertisements allow you to install the channel being advertised by pressing any one of several Roku remote buttons. (And they're some obvious ones like Play, I think.)
Then they turn the TV off. (And so that screen saver comes up.)
Then they turn the TV on, and sometimes, even before the display is showing, they press one of the buttons on the Roku remote that causes the screensaver to download the advertised channel.
There are a couple of solutions to that one. For example, choosing one of the screen savers without ads, like the Roku clock screen savers. Another is to watch the screen saver you're using to see which keys download, and teach yourself not to use them for "waking up". And I believe you can turn off screen savers entirely too.
