Unable to access subscribed channel

I subscribed to Acorn TV through the Roku channel for a 2 month discounted rate. When I try to watch it on certain TVs in our house, it only gives me the option to sign up for a free trial instead of giving me the option to log in. How do I get the other Roku devices in my home to recognize my subscription?

Welcome to the Roku Community, @StacyNMaria!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please note that if you subscribed to the channel directly through Roku, your credentials can only be used on the Roku platform or supported Roku devices and TVs. It is important to ensure that the email address on your Roku device matches the email address you used to subscribe to the channel.

We strongly advise following the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote Scroll > Settings > System > About to check your email address.
  2. Remove the channel. Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press (*) to open the Options menu. Select remove channel and confirm.
  3. Restart your Roku device. Go to Settings > System > Power (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step) > System restart.
  4. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.
If you're still experiencing the issue, we recommend contacting the channel provider for further assistance using this link:  Acorn TV Support

We're hoping to get everything sorted out soon and appreciate you bearing with us in the meantime.

Thanks,
Jharra

If you subscribe to a service through Roku, the service is only available on a Roku device linked to the same user account. You cannot use your subscription on a non-Roku device (smart TV, Android player, computer, etc.) nor on a Roku that is linked to a different user account.

Usually subscriptions through Roku can only be accessed through The Roku Channel, and not the separate apps that some providers offer. But that is dependent on the specific service, and I have no information about how each subscription might be accessed.

@StacyNMaria Are all of your Roku devices linked to the same Roku account?  Go into settings, system, about and check the email address on each device.
