What is wrong with Roku remotes? I love Roku - but I am constantly having issues with their remotes - changing batteries solves the issues but changing batteries so often is beyond ridiculous! Their remotes needs a MAJOR update!!
Which remote do you have? Does it have a headphone jack? If it does, do you use it? Do any buttons appear to be sticking?
I have all sorts of different Roku remotes, from a basic IR to the latest rechargeable Voice Remote. I've never had battery life issues with any of them. The remotes with replaceable batteries general last several months without a problem. The rechargeable versions also seem to go for months without needing a charge. This includes one that would just sit in my suitcase and only be used when I traveled. I never use the headphone jack on the ones that have it, because that is an absolute battery drain, especially if you don't unplug them when not in use.
Make sure you are using a good brand of batteries as well from a reliable retailer. There are tons of no-name battery brands out there and even more counterfeits sold online.
