I got a roku as a gift. It has never been reliable. I tried a last ditch effort to troubleshoot it by joining this community. I got no help but I am now getting pm thru this community to meet women in my area. Roku, a trash experience from start to finish. I have disconnected this turd of a technology and am chucking it.
That's odd - according to your profile, this is your first post. No guarantees on whether anyone will know the answer but it might be worth posting your question (again) since it doesn't seem to have been posted before.

I've just received a similar SPAM "private message" as well (complete with malicious link). I came on here to see if I could report the user in question, but I see so option to do that, except to "ignore" said user. (?)
UPDATE: Actually, there is a "Report" link below the message on the left (when reading the full message)!Report SPAM private message
The report link is below the message on the left.

Thanks, yeah, I see it now! Doh!
I am having the same trouble: I came here for help and now I'm getting SPAM emails from Roku! Roku just can't seem to execute - whether it is a device sales issue or a use support issue, they fail in both regards. I can't see them being in business much longer.
Actually, I see a very long and bright future for the Roku Corporation. Just not in the way you mean or see them as. They withdrew fully and finally from the DIRECT Customer Service part of their business as of March, 2020. There is no real direct way of contacting this company anymore except for basically via only emails or this forum.
While this decision (solely on their part) was blamed on the Pandemic of 2019-?, the truth is that this deliberate withdrawing of support was occurring for quite a while over some years beforehand. This forum was updated and changed it's focus to what it is today around that time. The Roku's own Customer Service Phone Center was terminated in March of 2020. The Roku business now centers on INDIRECT means of dealing with the customer. You are now both simply and unknowingly just a customer of the manufacturer of the television, separate streaming device, or whatever using Roku's technology. Or the retailer of these devices. Nothing more.
For Roku is now only dealing with it's REAL direct customers: i.e. the licensing of their technology to other corporate manufacturers and/or selling apps subscriptions for paywall access as a third party, or most important of all ADS and very intense data mining plus selling the resulting information of you and everyone else that uses these products. Nothing more. Now you can see why I added those Plug In On/Off Switches to all my streaming devices. And buy only plain jane very dumb televisions with no streaming abilities built into them.
So if you have problems with your device, always contact it's actual manufacturer or even the retailer that sold you the device over Roku.

There's been a lot of useful information posted in these forums... with regards to the recent issue(s) with the YouTube channel, for instance, the suggestions posted here have helped resolve the issue for many.

Everyone has the right to state one's opinion. Not to stoop to a lower level of bad taste or worse, poor judgement for an "adult"-over and over. It's not only getting old-it's trollish.
