This problem has been mentioned a lot but there has been no clear answer.
Apps that appear on my Roku Express 4k device and can add (such as TED) can't be added through the website because the "Add App" button is greyed out.
This means I don't think it's a regional issue.
The Roku device doesn't seem to have a search function for channels (or I can't find it).
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi, @AlonsoRR
Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community.
The grayed-out "Add app" button indicates that a channel or app is not currently supported in your region. In addition, the Roku platform is currently not supported in the Dominican Republic.
For more information, you can visit this link to view the regions supported by Roku at "Select your Region"
We hope you find this information helpful.
Thanks,
Kash
Generally, the Search button (located on the left hand side menu the of Home Screen) is missing from unsupported regions.
When you go to the online Roku Channel Store https://channelstore.roku.com/browse, scroll to the very bottom of the screen. In the lower right (in small print) you should see a country. Are you seeing the right country there?
Your Roku account may have had an issue during the setup and activation of it.

Does anyone have a solution for this? I just bought this Roku device and I can't use any of my favorite apps
@AlonsoRR, where are you located? Not all apps and features are available in all regions/countries.
I live in the Dominican Republic, I bought in a local shop so I assume it was going to work, I guess I was wrong
@AlonsoRR, yeah, sorry. The Dominican Republic isn't officially supported, so your features and apps will be significantly limited.
