We know 5.1 audio is important to many of you, so we wanted to share an update. We’re currently testing 5.1 audio on Google TV, Android TV, and Roku, and if everything runs smoothly, we can expect 5.1 audio to launch on those devices next.

For more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

@HaightMale  Google has not released 5.1 for YouTube TV as of yet. It’s not up to Roku

Its still in testing phase (per account), and is not rolled out to all accounts/all devices.

There are widespread reports of significant latency when in EC-3/AC-3 codec output mode, so make sure you test that.
