Xfinity authorization fails when Opening Xfinity app

When attempting to authorize Xfinity access, error message says: “Looks like you have notifications turned off” when they are in fact all turned on. Further information says to “Open the Xfinity app to approve this sign-in” however the Xfinity app provides no such service. Xfinity customer service is nonexistent.

    Comcast / Xfinity has just extended into my area.  Neighbors having lots of problems.  Sticking with current ISP.
